Once upon a time…
or maybe many times… I dunno…
Right now, and that’s all we got, I’m a well-married, 51 year old father
of four grown up children and, usually, I’m bask in the relative anonymity…
of Cork City, Ireland….
I’ve never had a major recording or publishing deal but…
I make a life, and a living, from being a full time singer-songwriter, performer
and band leader…
I was born in Dayton, Ohio, USA in 1963 to an Irish mother and an American father…
I lived in NYC with them, and two younger sisters, until 1974
when we all moved to my mother’s hometown of Mallow, Co. Cork…
another sister arrived there in 1979…
I went to UCC from ’81-’85 to learn to be a high school teacher
but I was busking on the streets of Cork most of that time with like minded hippie friends…
All thru ’86-’88 I was involved with two bands in Cork and NYC…
“Open Kitchen” and “Princes Street” …
We resided in “The Lobby Bar”, played live, toured, recorded, put music out,
appeared on radio and TV…
