The Monks are a Clonakilty-based rock band formed in 2014 from the remnants of other West Cork bands. The current lineup consists of original members Ciarán Calnan and Kevin Sheehy, along with Timmie O’Brien and Ronan Archbold. They are known for their high-energy live performances, blending covers of bands like Foo Fighters and Thin Lizzy with original Irish and contemporary rock, pop, and folk tunes.
